Our client is an international financial advisory firm with a strong track record in complex restructurings, special situations and capital structure advisory. Small, entrepreneurial deal teams work on high-profile transactions, with direct exposure to senior bankers and key client stakeholders.
As an Associate or Vice President in the Financial Restructuring & Capital Solutions team, you will work on a broad range of debtor‑ and creditor‑side situations, including:
- Distressed and special situations
- Financial restructurings and takeovers
- Refinancing and debt capital solutions
Depending on seniority, you will:
- Lead day‑to‑day workstreams on live mandates and marketing projects
- Develop, review and challenge complex financial models and valuation analyses
- Prepare and present client materials (information memoranda, presentations, pitch books)
- Coordinate due diligence and support negotiations with lenders, sponsors and other stakeholders
- Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, sponsors and advisors
- Mentor and develop junior team members
Requirements
- 4–8+ years of experience in investment banking or a comparable advisory role (restructuring, leverage finance, special situations or related areas)
- Excellent analytical and technical skills; confident in building and reviewing complex Excel‑based models
- Strong interest in financial restructuring, special situations and capital structure topics
- Ability to perform under pressure in a fast‑paced, transaction‑driven environment
- Team player with high integrity, strong communication skills and an ownership mindset
- Fluent in German and English (both required)
- Strong academic track record in finance, economics, business, or a related field
