Senior Occupational Therapist – Dartmouth House

Options for Care is recruiting a Senior Occupational Therapist to work at Dartmouth House, one of our mental health inpatient services in Birmingham.

Location: Dartmouth House, Handsworth Wood, Birmingham.

We are looking for a dynamic OT with a passion for working with people who have severe and enduring mental health diagnoses.

The MOHOST is established as the core occupational therapy assessment tool, providing evidence of change and focus on occupation. Additional assessments are completed as led by service-user need.

Supported by the Head of Therapies.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • To plan and deliver a range of occupational therapy assessments and interventions promoting recovery and well‑being for service‑users with severe and enduring mental health needs.
  • To co‑ordinate and lead on provision of the therapeutic programme, including running both group and individual sessions.
  • To work as an integrated member of the multidisciplinary team, under the supervision of the Head of Therapies, ensuring the occupational needs of the service‑users are considered and addressed.
  • To assist in running the Occupational Therapy team, providing management supervision to OTAs.
  • To understand and implement the mission, vision and values of the organisation.

Employment Details

Hours: 37.5 hours per week.

Pay: Starting from £36,500 per annum, dependent on experience.
