Job Purpose
Reporting to the Head of Insurer Partnerships, the Insurer Partnerships Portfolio Specialist will play a key role across the Capacity and Underwriting Management Teams, supporting the delivery and optimisation of insurer capacity solutions across our Specialty business. Acting as the technical conduit between underwriting, operations and insurer partners, the role ensures portfolio capacity arrangements are implemented efficiently, processed accurately and managed in accordance with Lloyd's market requirements and partner expectations.
Key Role Accountabilities
- Act as the primary technical liaison between Global Specialty Underwriting teams, Broking, Underwriting Processing and insurer partners to support the effective delivery of capacity solutions.
- Ensure portfolio capacity arrangements are optimally structured, processed and administered across Lloyd's London, Europe and Asia and other relevant market platforms.
- Coordinate the placement and ongoing administration of portfolio solutions, ensuring accurate and timely execution throughout the policy lifecycle.
- Oversee the timely production, validation and submission of bdx across a diverse range of global specialty products, ensuring compliance with insurer and market requirements.
- Provide technical expertise in Lloyd's market processes, including risk capture, policy administration, slip, binder and endorsement processing, signings, premium corrections and settlement activities.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of Lloyd's systems and market processing platforms to support operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Act as the key interface between Underwriting, Claims, Finance and Operational Processing teams to ensure accurate portfolio reporting and effective claims coordination for delegated and portfolio solutions.
- Support insurer partnership governance through the preparation of MI, business planning data and quarterly performance reviews with capacity providers.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, data quality and processing standards across capacity solutions and portfolio business.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external insurer partners to ensure collaborative delivery of strategic capacity initiatives.
- Support the Head of Insurer Partnerships in the ongoing development, implementation and optimisation of insurer partnership strategies and portfolio solutions.
- Contribute as a key member of the Underwriting Management team, providing technical insight and market expertise to support business growth and operational excellence.

Essential Skills
- Strong knowledge of Lloyd's market processes and systems, including risk capture, policy administration and endorsements.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across underwriting, operations, brokers and insurers.
- High accuracy and attention to detail with portfolio and bordereaux (bdx) data.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with confidence interpreting MI and performance data.
- Excellent organisational skills, able to manage multiple portfolios and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive, continuous-improvement mindset.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data management tools.
Experience & Professional Qualifications
- Experience within the Lloyd's or London specialty market, ideally in underwriting operations or capacity management.
- Experience producing and submitting bordereaux (bdx) across specialty products.
- Experience supporting insurer governance, including MI and performance reviews.
- Sound understanding of the policy lifecycle, including signings and settlements.
- Experience working collaboratively across underwriting, claims and finance teams.
- Cert CII, DIP or ACII qualification (or progress towards) desirable.
- Degree level education or equivalent industry experience.
