Quantity Surveyor / Estimator – Commercial Shopfitting & Interiors Location: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire (office-based, with travel to sites nationwide) Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 DOE + benefits Type: Permanent, Full-Time Optio Resourcing is working with a well-established commercial shopfitting and interiors contractor to recruit a QS / Estimator for their Huddersfield head office. About the Business Our client is a nationwide commercial shopfitter delivering high-end interior fit-outs for well-known high street brands. They work across the restaurant, hospitality, retail and leisure sectors. Their portfolio includes restaurant groups, bars, pubs, fast-casual dining chains and luxury hospitality venues. They focus on creating on-brand, design-led environments for their clients' customers. They are SafeContractor approved and have been trading for 20 years. The Role This is a dual commercial role covering both estimating and quantity surveying for shopfitting and interior fit-out projects: * Pricing tenders for restaurant, bar, hospitality and retail fit-outs from drawings, specifications and design packs * Producing accurate estimates, including joinery, bespoke shopfitting, finishes, M&E and specialist packages * Getting subcontractor and supplier quotations, and running comparisons * Preparing cost plans, value engineering options and tender submissions * Handing over won projects and managing them commercially through to final account * Managing valuations, applications for payment, variations and cost reports * Placing and managing subcontract orders and supplier packages * Working closely with the Directors, Project Managers and the design team About You * A proven QS and/or Estimator background within commercial shopfitting or interior fit-out. This is essential. * Experience pricing and running restaurant, hospitality, bar, leisure or retail fit-out projects. This is essential. * A strong understanding of bespoke joinery, shopfitting packages and high-end interior finishes * Experience on fast-track, design-led projects for branded clients * Confident taking projects from tender through to final account * Strong Excel skills.
