We are seeking an experienced Electrical CAD Engineer to join our growing team and support the delivery of high-quality electrical layout drawings for our projects. This is a full-time, office-based role, ideal for someone local who enjoys working closely with project teams and contributing to both technical design and administrative project support.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate 2D electrical layout drawings using CAD software
- Support project teams with technical drawing requirements and updates
- Develop and organise the CAD design function, including creating and maintaining drawing symbols to meet client specifications
- Carry out office administrative duties, including:
- Compiling O&M manuals
- Preparing site project folders
- General project support tasks
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure drawings and documentation meet project deadlines and standards
Requirements
- Full working knowledge of 2D CAD software
- Strong understanding of electrical installations and how they translate into technical drawings
- Highly organised, with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage workload and support multiple projects
- Local to the area – this role is office based
- Proactive approach to improving and developing internal CAD processes
