About Optio

Optio Incentives is a fast-growing Norwegian fintech company specializing in equity compensation solutions for companies worldwide - from listed enterprises to high‑growth scale‑ups. As part of our continued growth, we are establishing a dedicated Reconciliation & Operations Team responsible for ensuring operational excellence and compliance on our regulated business.

The Role

We are hiring a Senior Reconciliation Analyst to be a key part of our Reconciliation & Operations team. This is a senior individual contributor role in a function that carries hard regulatory obligations: daily client asset reconciliations must be completed accurately, and a named individual must own that integrity. You will be that person for a significant portion of our daily workload.

The function covers client asset reconciliations (securities and cash), position and transaction reconciliations for UK SAYE and SIP programmes, and support for white‑label and custody partnerships. You will bring enough experience to handle complex breaks, corporate actions, and counterparty escalations independently — and enough seniority to contribute to how the team builds its processes and controls as we scale. We are also actively investing in how AI and automation can transform reconciliation workflows. We expect a meaningful share of high‑volume, routine reconciliation work — position matching, cash rec, break identification — to eventually run on a straight‑through basis with the right tooling. We want a senior hire who has a view on this, contributes to shaping it, and is excited by the challenge rather than threatened by it.

What You'll Do

  • Own the daily integrity of client asset reconciliations, providing the named sign‑off required under our regulatory framework.
  • Lead break investigation and resolution, managing communications with internal and external stakeholders through to closure.
  • Handle complex and edge‑case reconciliation scenarios independently — negative balances, aged breaks, corporate actions (dividends, rights issues, splits, mergers), and anything requiring judgment.
  • Support and contribute to the build‑out of the reconciliation framework, control documentation, and process standards as the function scales.
  • Help shape the team's approach to automation: identifying which parts of the workflow are candidates for straight‑through processing, evaluating tooling, and working with the team to implement improvements.
  • Provide coverage and oversight alongside the Reconciliation Analyst to ensure continuity of the daily control function.
  • Be a senior reference point within the team on reconciliation methodology, regulatory requirements, and best practice.

Experience & Background

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in reconciliation, operations and settlements within a regulated financial services environment, ideally on the equity compensation administration.
  • Strong working knowledge of securities and cash reconciliation in a regulated environment; familiarity with Client Assets (CASS) or MiFID requirements is a clear advantage.
  • Experience with or understanding of share plans, equity incentive programmes (RSU, Options, ESPP, SAYE, SIP, etc.) or similar custody/securities products is highly desirable.
  • Track record of independently resolving complex reconciliation breaks and managing counterparty escalations.
  • A genuine interest in AI and automation applied to operations — you should have a view on where technology adds value in reconciliation workflows and be keen to help drive that agenda.
  • Comfortable owning regulatory accountability in a daily control function.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders.
  • High degree of independence, ownership, and resilience in ambiguous, early‑stage environments.
  • Strong strategic thinking combined with the ability to execute hands‑on work.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Highly structured and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally with international teams.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency and strong analytical capabilities, with proven experience working with large and complex datasets.

What we offer

  • A central role in a growing and strategically important team within Optio.
  • Exposure to global stakeholders and the challenge of mastering complex topics in the equity compensation and fintech.
  • An inclusive, friendly, and ambitious work environment with talented colleagues.
  • Opportunities for growth and development as the Reconciliation & Operations Team scales.
  • Competitive compensation with performance‑based incentives and social benefits.
