About the Role
You'll be an Account Executive reporting to the Sales Associate Director, working full time from our office in Chelmsford. You will focus on developing new business, maintaining and growing a portfolio of commercial clients (fleet & haulage, property, construction, professional services and similar), and delivering excellent service through the renewal lifecycle and mid-term adjustments.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively develop a client base through networking, referrals and lead generation
- Attend local and sector-specific networking events to raise the company profile
- Achieve new business targets and personal KPIs
- Maintain and grow a portfolio of commercial clients and maximise retention
- Manage renewals, present competitive compliant options and support mid-term changes
- Work closely with broking, claims and finance teams to ensure a seamless client experience
- Convert warm leads provided by marketing and contribute to targeted marketing campaigns
- Keep up to date with market trends, products and insurer appetite
What You'll Bring
- Experience in commercial insurance (broking or underwriting)
- Strong, confident communication and client relationship skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet targets
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to work across departments
- A desire to grow your own pipeline and influence the direction of a growing business
- CII qualification is desirable but not essential
