Responsibilities
- Investigating and resolving quality issues from shop floor through to customer delivery.
- Leading root‑cause analysis and implementing effective corrective and preventative actions (CAPA).
- Supporting internal audits and maintaining the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
- Using problem‑solving tools such as 8D, FMEA, and RCA to drive improvements.
- Working closely with production, engineering, and suppliers to enhance product and process quality.
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and right‑first‑time manufacturing.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment – ideally heavy or industrial.
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001 systems and auditing.
- Practical experience with root‑cause analysis, 8D reports, FMEA, and CAPA.
- Confident working both on the shop floor and with customers or suppliers.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Ideally qualified to HNC/HND or degree level in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Quality Engineering (but equivalent experience is just as valuable).
