UK Sales Director – Telecommunications & Network Infrastructure

Optimum TA are working with a well-established organisation in the telecommunications and network solutions sector. Our client is a recognised provider of innovative connectivity solutions, supporting a range of industries with high-quality, reliable products.

The Role

We are seeking a strategic UK Sales Director to lead our client’s UK sales team. This role is responsible for developing and executing a sales strategy that drives business growth. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and external partners to expand market presence, strengthen customer relationships, and lead a dynamic sales team to success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive growth and market expansion.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Manage sales budgets and targets.
  • Oversee tender and bid processes with relevant stakeholders.
  • Deliver accurate sales forecasts and performance reports.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers/accounts and industry partners.
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team, ensuring clear objectives and accountability.
  • Provide strategic direction and hands-on leadership to drive performance and achieve revenue goals.
  • Support strategic decision-making and business planning.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Must have sales leadership experience with telecommunications or network infrastructure experience.
  • Strong commercial and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management abilities.
  • Proven experience leading, managing, and developing a sales team to exceed targets.
  • Proven track record of delivering results in a competitive market.
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics.
  • Ability to drive sales initiatives and develop business opportunities.
