What You’ll Be Doing
As an Employee Relations Advisor, you’ll be the Tier 2 specialist for employee relations matters and HR guidance. Working closely with managers and HR leaders, you’ll help ensure that HR procedures are delivered with consistency, legal compliance, and people-first values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert advice and support on ER issues including grievances, disciplinaries, absence management, and performance matters.
- Advise managers on HR policies, procedures, and legal compliance.
- Support the HR team with initiatives across the full colleague lifecycle—from recruitment and onboarding to performance, learning & development, and pay & benefits.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR strategies, projects, and policy updates.
- Respond to HR-related queries via shared inbox and provide consistent, high-quality service.
- Maintain accurate employee records in the HR/Payroll system, ensuring confidentiality and data protection compliance.
- Travel to various sites as required to support a geographically dispersed workforce.
Essential Experience:
- Proven background handling varied ER casework, including disciplinaries and grievances.
- Experience supporting a multi-site, customer-facing workforce.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and remain resilient under pressure.
- Confidence in advising and building relationships at all levels of the organisation.
- Full driving licence required due to occasional travel.
