Optimum Skills are a leading training provider with centres in the North East of England delivering outstanding quality in the field of Apprenticeships, Traineeships, Pre-employment and Commercial Training. Due to our continued growth we are looking to add to our Construction team with the role of Onsite Assessor. Based onsite with our clients and learners with the occasional work from our brand new Gateshead office. The construction assessor is responsible for encompassing training, reviewing and monitoring learners within construction from Level Two. You will have an agreed allocated caseload of which learners will be required to complete within an agreed timeframe. Salary banding: £32,000-£40,000 Location: Onsite Department: Construction Job Duties: · Carrying out assessment using a variety of different methods as part of the delivery of, to ensure the successful outcome for the full achievement of the qualification in line with contractual requirements and targets · Visiting learners in the workplace and delivering teaching & learning in line with the qualification requirements · Produce monthly progress reports of learners within your caseload. · Attend and participate in standardisation as planned / or required. · To take responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all learners with whom you come into contact · Complete all relevant funding documentation and administration tasks to meet compliance requirements. · Ensure that all Equal Opportunities policies and Health & Safety requirements are complied with always, and ensure all learners are given fair access to assessment. You will need: · Experience of working in the Construction Industry across AT LEAST TWO trades for 2 years or more · Experience assessing NVQs in Construction for 2 years or more · Experience of teaching/training in a workplace environment · Full UK driving licence and use of own car, prepared to travel · Recognised NVQ Assessor Qualification · Vocational qualification to at least NVQ Level 2 or equivalent Special requirements: References which are satisfactory Evidence of qualification certificates Be willing to undertake a DBS Enhanced Disclosure check Company Benefits Health Cash Plan (after 3 months employment) which includes: Get up to 100% money back on everyday healthcare costs.
