The predicted salary is between 26000 - 36400 Β£ per year.

Location: Newton Aycliffe, HO plus Middlesbrough, Gateshead and Newcastle Hubs and travel throughout Northeast where needed

Reports to: Senior Operations Manager

Job Purpose: As a Business Tutor you will play a vital role in guiding and supporting learners across our contracts; Apprenticeships, Adult Skills Funded Short Courses, and Skills Bootcamp. This role will combine teaching capabilities with strong subject knowledge and experience to deliver high-quality education and support to learners across various business disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching across classroom, remote and workplace settings where required.
  • Provide individualised support to learners, monitoring progress, conducting reviews, and ensuring progression through personalised learning plans.
  • Ensure teaching delivery is consistent with quality standards and aligns with curriculum frameworks and employer needs.
  • Contribute to course design, adaptation and enhancement in response to industry demands and learner needs as a support for the curriculum team.
  • Plan and prepare for all sessions relevant to which contract the delivery is.
  • Maintain accurate records of learner progress and achievement.
  • Work collaboratively with the Lead Business Tutor and other staff to manage risks and causes of concern relating to learners or employers.
  • Actively participate in team briefings and meetings.

Qualifications, Competence & Behaviours

  • Possess appropriate vocational qualifications and/or competency in a number of subject specialisms such as management, admin, lean, customer service, digital skills etc.
  • Hold relevant teaching qualifications e.g. PTLLS, PGCE, Cert Ed etc.
  • Hold relevant assessing qualifications e.g. CAVA.
  • Level 2 Functional Skills (English, Maths and ICT) or equivalent.
  • Proficient in the use of IT systems, including Microsoft Office programmes.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience of training and/or assessing in an educational or workplace environment.
  • Good understanding of DfE funding rules, EPA requirements, ASF compliance etc.
  • Prior exposure to Ofsted and/or quality assurance processes.
  • Be able to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability.
  • Demonstrate behaviour consistent with Company Values.
  • Be committed to continuous professional development.
  • Share a current/be willing to undertake a DBS Enhanced Disclosure check.
  • Share references which are satisfactory to the Company.
  • Car user essential due to travel.
