Optimum Recruitment Group are proud to be working exclusively with this successful growth business based on the outskirts of Leeds who are looking to appoint an additional Finance Business Partner to their team. Reporting to the Head of FP&A, you will be responsible for supporting operational and commercial leaders by providing financial insight, analysis and challenge to drive improved business performance. Acting as a trusted advisor to the business, the role translates financial data into meaningful insights that support planning, decision-making and strategic growth.
You will be responsible for:
- Partnering with operational and commercial leaders to support informed decision-making.
- Providing financial insight and constructive challenge to improve performance.
- Building strong relationships with site managers and senior stakeholders across the business.
- Leading budgeting and forecasting processes for assigned business areas.
- Delivering monthly financial performance analysis, identifying key trends, risks and opportunities.
- Providing variance analysis against budget and forecast.
- Monitoring operational costs, margins and financial KPIs.
- Supporting operational teams in identifying efficiency improvements and cost control opportunities.
- Tracking productivity and financial performance across operational sites.
- Producing clear management reports and financial insights for senior stakeholders.
- Translating complex financial data into clear, actionable information for non-finance leaders.
- Supporting investment appraisals, business cases and commercial decision-making.
- Providing financial input into pricing strategies, projects and operational initiatives.
- Striving for the why to develop understanding and continual improvement.
- Being the bridge between Finance and stakeholders to promote good working relationships and collaboration.
As the successful candidate you will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:
- Be a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent).
- Have proven experience in a Finance Business Partner or FP&A role.
- Demonstrate strong financial modelling and analytical skills, delivering outcomes and recommendations to deadlines.
- Full preparation of management accounts, including payables and accruals.
- Have the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders, through building trusted relationships.
- Experience presenting financial insights, budgets and forecasts to non-finance leaders.
- Ability to demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset.
- Advanced Excel and financial analysis capability, specifically with large data sets.
Salary c£55k plus a generous benefits package. Defined hybrid working environment. There is some travel involved in the role.
