We are looking to recruit on behalf of our client, an experienced Lead Business Tutor to join their existing team on a permanent basis.
The Lead Business Tutor will play a vital role in guiding and supporting learners on all contracts; Apprenticeships, Adult Skills Funded Short Courses, and Skills Bootcamp, while also supporting a team of tutors. Acting as the bridge between delivery staff and senior management, this role is central to maintaining high quality standards, learner outcomes, and operational effectiveness. This role will combine coaching capabilities with strong subject knowledge and teaching experience and possess the ability to inspire and guide delivery teams while managing day-to-day challenges across multiple contracts.
Qualifications, Competence & Behaviours
- Possess appropriate vocational qualifications and/or competency in a number of subject specialisms such as management, admin, lean, customer service, digital skills etc.
- Hold relevant teaching qualifications e.g. PTLLS, PGCE, Cert Ed etc.
- Hold relevant assessing qualifications e.g. CAVA.
- Level 2 Functional Skills (English, Maths and ICT) or equivalent.
- Proficient in the use of IT systems, including Microsoft Office programmes.
- Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience of training and/or assessing in an educational or workplace environment.
- Good understanding of DfE funding rules, EPA requirements, ASF compliance etc.
- Prior exposure to Ofsted and/or quality assurance processes.
- Be able to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability.
- Demonstrate behaviour consistent with Company Values.
- Be committed to continuous professional development.
- Share a current/be willing to undertake a DBS Enhanced Disclosure check.
- Car user essential due to travel.
