We are looking for a Healthcare Assistant to join our Limetree Residential team on a full‑time contract working 36 hours per week. The shifts are as follows (3 × 12 hours) 8am to 8pm between Monday to Sunday.

JOB PURPOSE

To work in the provision of client care, focusing on Person Cen tered Care.

To provide care for the service users under the guidance and supervision of Limetree Manager and Senior Care Assistants; and to undertake other activities to assist in the running of the Home as required.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • To assist the service users in personal care including washing, bathing, dressing and toilet needs
  • Responding promptly to call bells
  • To report any accidents or unexplained injuries immediately to the senior in charge.
  • To ensure that residents are always socially presentable in appearance.
  • To ensure that residents have any aids e.g. Dentures, Hearing Aids, Spectacles etc fitted. cleaned and in working order.
  • To assist in the serving and clearing of meals, snacks and drinks.
  • To assist residents to eat and drink, monitoring intake and reporting any concerns to the senior care assistant.
  • Complete all food and fluid charts and any other daily monitoring records as requested.
  • To undertake any training necessary for the completion of your duties. To be aware of Mandatory training and dates to attend training.
  • To attend staff and other meetings as requested.
  • To undertake any other duties as and when required.
  • To abide by all company Policies and Procedures that available to view on Optimum Inspire.
  • To participate in social activities with service users and to use all interactions with residents as an opportunity for stimulation/ occupation.
  • To report any concerns re possible abuse of service users immediately to the person in charge.
  • To respect the confidentiality of the service users and the home life at all times, including when you are using social networking systems.

Essential Criteria

  • No experience necessary

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience within a paid Nursing Home or similar environment
  • Be registered with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC)
