About Us
At Optimo, we’re passionate about delivering exceptional people services that genuinely support our teams across the organisation. Our HR Operations team plays a key role in empowering leaders and managers to make confident, informed decisions for their people.
The Role
As an HR Advisor, you’ll be the first point of contact for operational HR support across a defined client group. You’ll provide practical advice, coaching and guidance on all areas of the employee lifecycle — from recruitment and onboarding to performance management, employee relations, and organisational change.
You’ll also support the delivery of our People Strategy, ensuring we remain compliant, consistent, and aligned with best practice across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day HR advice, coaching and support to managers.
- Advise on all areas of the employee lifecycle, including contracts, capability, absence, retention, employee relations, redeployment, and redundancy.
- Escalate complex or high-risk cases where appropriate.
- Help leaders anticipate and plan for workforce needs.
- Keep up to date with employment law and HR best practice, recommending improvements where needed.
- Contribute to the delivery of projects within the People Services Delivery Plan.
- Deputise for colleagues or the Group HR Manager when required.
About You
We’re looking for someone who brings:
- Previous experience in an HR Advisor role within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
- Experience working in a regulated environment (social care experience is desirable but not essential).
- Confidence analysing data, spotting trends and providing meaningful insights.
- CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) is desirable.
- Flexibility to travel across the UK when required.
Why Join Us?
This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll have a real opportunity to influence, advise and support colleagues across the organisation. You’ll join a supportive HR team that values collaboration, continuous improvement, and the impact great people practices can have on organisational success.
If you\’re ready to bring your HR expertise to a role where you can make a genuine difference, we’d love to hear from you.
