Optimo Care Group is seeking a proactive and knowledgeable HR Officer to join the People Services team in Sheffield. This role plays a key part in delivering day to day operational HR support and providing professional advice to managers on all aspects of the employee lifecycle.

You will work closely with operational leaders to ensure people policies, procedures and best practices are implemented effectively, supporting organisational objectives while maintaining compliance with employment legislation and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide operational HR advice, guidance and coaching to line managers.
  • Support all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, employee relations and retention.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational policies, employment legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyse HR data and produce reports to identify trends and support decision making.
  • Escalate complex or high risk HR matters where appropriate.
  • Support the development and implementation of HR systems, tools and policies.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in line with data protection and records management requirements.
  • Contribute to the delivery of the People Strategy and Service Delivery Plan.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced HR professional who thrives in a fast paced environment and enjoys working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.

Essential Experience
  • Previous HR experience within a busy, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law.
  • Experience advising managers on HR policies and procedures.
  • Ability to analyse HR data and present insights and recommendations.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • CIPD Level 3 qualification.
Desirable
  • Experience in the social care sector or another regulated environment.
  • Experience of TUPE or organisational change.
Skills
  • Strong problem solving and decision making abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and influence stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills.
