We are seeking an exceptional (Senior) Sales Director in the UK to position Optiml as a leader in global real estate transformation.
Key Objectives
- Generate high-conversion sales opportunities by leveraging your extensive senior network and developing new leads with Asset Managers, Investors, and Consultancies.
- Manage deals end-to-end—from initial contact, demos/pitches, proposal creation, to onboarding and expansion.
- Represent Optiml in the UK, increasing brand visibility across boards, associations, and executive networks.
- Provide strategic market feedback to help shape product features and go-to-market strategies.
- Identify local business development opportunities such as partnerships with clients, associations, PropTechs, etc., and drive execution and ownership of partnerships.
Your Responsibilities
- Serve as the local commercial lead for the UK, combining market insights with execution excellence.
- Open doors with existing contacts and create new connections with Asset Managers & Investors (covering Asset, Portfolio, ESG, Transactions, and Construction management) and Consultancies.
- Execute and refine sales strategies from lead generation through onboarding and account growth.
- Establish Optiml’s presence in influential professional networks, boards, and conferences in the region.
- Collaborate with founders and the product team to adapt messaging and workflows to local market dynamics.
- Support future hiring efforts to build a local commercial team and develop a scalable, trust-based enterprise sales model.
- Ensure client success with our software—acting as a post-sale partner to guarantee value delivery, retention, and expansion.
Requirements
Who You Are
You are a self-starter, strategic thinker, and execution powerhouse. Passionate about AI, sustainability, and real estate innovation, you are excited to shape a global brand from the ground up. You possess seniority, an existing network, and experience engaging with key stakeholders and C-level executives.
You Have:
- 10+ years in senior roles such as Head of Asset Management, Portfolio Strategy, ESG, Transactions, or as a Principal/Partner in a top-tier real estate consultancy.
- Deep understanding of Net Zero commitments, ESG regulations, and Capex planning—along with experience managing fragmented tools.
- Strong executive network with decision-makers in asset management, real estate investment, and large consultancies.
- Active involvement in industry associations (e.g., ULI, RICS, INREV), including panels, working groups, or speaker engagements.
- Entrepreneurial mindset—comfortable building from scratch, shaping products and processes, and operating independently.
- Fluency in enterprise stakeholder management, able to navigate CFOs, CTOs, Heads of ESG, and external advisors.
- Background in business, finance, or related fields, with the ability to discuss financial, technical, and sustainability topics fluently.
- Hands-on, execution-driven approach with a desire to scale a high-growth tech startup, including experience working with startups.
- Swiss, EU, or UK citizenship.
- Language requirement: English (French optional).
