About Optiml

Optiml is revolutionising real estate with our Real Estate Decision Intelligence (REDI) software—a new category of AI-powered technology that helps decarbonise buildings while optimising asset & portfolio performance. Since our launch in April 2024, we have been scaling across Europe and the US, receiving industry recognition and winning three PropTech awards, including: 2024 ULI Europe PropTech of the Year and 2024 ZIA PropTech of the Year. We are backed by $6M in pre-seed funding from top-tier US and EU funds, including Innovation Endeavors (the fund of former Google CEO Eric Schmidt), Planet A, BitStone, and Kompas.

We are seeking an exceptional (Senior) Sales Director in the UK to position Optiml as a leader in global real estate transformation.

Key Objectives

  • Generate high-conversion sales opportunities by leveraging your extensive senior network and developing new leads with Asset Managers, Investors, and Consultancies.
  • Manage deals end-to-end—from initial contact, demos/pitches, proposal creation, to onboarding and expansion.
  • Represent Optiml in the UK, increasing brand visibility across boards, associations, and executive networks.
  • Provide strategic market feedback to help shape product features and go-to-market strategies.
  • Identify local business development opportunities such as partnerships with clients, associations, PropTechs, etc., and drive execution and ownership of partnerships.

Your Responsibilities

  • Serve as the local commercial lead for the UK, combining market insights with execution excellence.
  • Open doors with existing contacts and create new connections with Asset Managers & Investors (covering Asset, Portfolio, ESG, Transactions, and Construction management) and Consultancies.
  • Execute and refine sales strategies from lead generation through onboarding and account growth.
  • Establish Optiml’s presence in influential professional networks, boards, and conferences in the region.
  • Collaborate with founders and the product team to adapt messaging and workflows to local market dynamics.
  • Support future hiring efforts to build a local commercial team and develop a scalable, trust-based enterprise sales model.
  • Ensure client success with our software—acting as a post-sale partner to guarantee value delivery, retention, and expansion.

Who You Are

You are a self-starter, strategic thinker, and execution powerhouse. Passionate about AI, sustainability, and real estate innovation, you are excited to shape a global brand from the ground up. You possess seniority, an existing network, and experience engaging with key stakeholders and C-level executives.

You Have:

  • 10+ years in senior roles such as Head of Asset Management, Portfolio Strategy, ESG, Transactions, or as a Principal/Partner in a top-tier real estate consultancy.
  • Deep understanding of Net Zero commitments, ESG regulations, and Capex planning—along with experience managing fragmented tools.
  • Strong executive network with decision-makers in asset management, real estate investment, and large consultancies.
  • Active involvement in industry associations (e.g., ULI, RICS, INREV), including panels, working groups, or speaker engagements.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset—comfortable building from scratch, shaping products and processes, and operating independently.
  • Fluency in enterprise stakeholder management, able to navigate CFOs, CTOs, Heads of ESG, and external advisors.
  • Background in business, finance, or related fields, with the ability to discuss financial, technical, and sustainability topics fluently.
  • Hands-on, execution-driven approach with a desire to scale a high-growth tech startup, including experience working with startups.
  • Swiss, EU, or UK citizenship.
  • Language requirement: English (French optional).

Benefits

  • Very high variable upside (uncapped)—direct impact on earnings based on value created and deals closed, with both equity and bonuses.
  • Opportunity to build your own commercial team.
  • Fully remote and hybrid options with flexible working hours.
  • Learning & development budget per year.
  • A dynamic, ambitious startup culture with global expansion opportunities.
