Essential Technical Skills

  • Basic understanding of software testing principles and methodologies
  • Ability to write & execute test cases from business requirements
  • Familiarity with bug‑tracking tools (e.g., JIRA)
  • Knowledge of STLC and QA processes
  • Exposure to common testing tools
  • Manual testing + basic understanding of automation
  • Ability to write simple SQL queries
  • Knowledge of usability, GUI, functional, system, regression & sanity testing
  • Experience testing web and mobile applications
  • Willingness to learn automation & scripting
  • Basic knowledge of test documentation & reporting
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with QA & development teams

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating test plans and test cases
  • Execute manual test cases and document results
  • Identify, report, and track defects
  • Participate in test case reviews
  • Support functional, installation, and performance testing
  • Perform manual testing for assigned modules/features
  • Communicate test progress/issues to the QA Lead or project team
  • Maintain QA documentation and test artifacts
  • Contribute to improving QA processes and adherence to best practices
