About the role

We are looking for an analytical individual with a love for data, detail and building relationships to join us as a Recharging Analyst within our Bristol office. In this role you will take a deep dive into our client’s energy and meter data. You will validate utility invoices and meter readings and provide a solution focused approach to our clients creating various detailed reports as well as being responsible for creating recharges for tenants and processing change of tenancies. Due to the specialism of working with meters and associated data, someone with experience either within a similar role or the industry in general would be preferred, however if you have an evidenced analytical and technical background and can utilise data to present solutions, we can provide training and development on what we do and how to complete the recharging elements of this role.

Job Requirements

  • Previous recharging experience is desirable
  • Experience of working within a technical and data driven role
  • Strong analytical skills with an interest in detail and developing solutions
  • A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, with the confidence to manipulate and format data using formulas
  • A solid understanding of all components of a utilities bill and/or metering would be highly desirable
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to discuss and resolve complex issues with suppliers, clients and internal stakeholders alike both digitally and in person
  • Systems link experience desirable
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Purpose driven mindset
  • An open and approachable manner, backed up by high moral and ethical standards
  • Passion for social or environmental issues
  • Proactive attitude that brings drive, energy and passion to the role
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be a strong team player
  • Strong resilience and positivity particularly in challenging situations
  • Accountability to yourself and others
  • High IT literacy skills
  • High attention to detail

We understand that candidates have varying experiences, and it is unlikely that all aspects of the role description will be an exact match. Please don’t be deterred if that is the case – we’d love to hear from you if you are passionate about our vision and have relevant experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide an excellent client experience to internal and external stakeholders
  • Complete invoice checks and tariff-based validation on all components of electricity, gas, water, heating and cooling invoices
  • Generate batches of invoices, analysing the cost and consumption against previous periods, and looking for and reviewing anomalies
  • Produce weekly batch files for clients to process payments
  • Keep query and savings logs up to date, raising queries and resolving errors with suppliers when invoices are incorrect
  • Process and follow up on change of tenancies
  • Create and deliver monthly/scheduled recharge invoices for tenants
  • Manage multiple sources of meter data for use within recharging
  • Calculate targets and budgets and review on-accounts where required
  • Produce portfolio-wide reports and issue to clients accordingly
  • Review metering schematics in order to mobilise RICS standard recharging methodology for clients
