The Opportunity
The Sub-contractor Planner plays a key role in keeping operations running smoothly. This position offers the chance to work at the heart of the planning team – coordinating vehicle sub-contract work, ensuring compliance, and building strong relationships with both subcontractors and internal teams.

What the Role Involves
- Planning and scheduling vehicle sub-contract work in line with customer requirements and service levels.
- Allocating jobs to approved subcontractors based on availability, capability, and location.
- Monitoring progress and keeping everything on track to meet deadlines.
- Keeping accurate records of subcontractor performance and job status.
- Working closely with internal teams such as Sales, Finance, PDI, and Depots to ensure smooth workflow.
- Making sure all subcontracted work complies with safety, legal, and company standards.
- Quickly addressing any issues or delays with professionalism and focus.
- Supporting the onboarding and vetting of new subcontractors.
- Helping to introduce new planning software to improve scheduling and reporting.
- Providing regular performance updates and reports to management.

The Sub-contractor Planner helps ensure that quality and environmental standards are met, and that all procedures and records are maintained to the highest level.
