Overview
We are seeking a commercially driven and strategically minded Franchise Development Director (B2B) to lead the growth and performance of our franchise network. This senior role is responsible for the recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing support of franchise partners, ensuring they are fully equipped for success in their respective markets.
You will play a key role in business development, sales enablement, operational support, and relationship management – fostering a high-performing franchise community aligned to the companys strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of B2B sales and business development experience, including experience in a senior leadership or team management role, with a strong emphasis on people development and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Franchisee Recruitment & Onboarding
- Collaborate with our retained franchise consultant to attract and recruit high-potential franchisees.
- Lead and coordinate the vetting, selection, and onboarding process of new franchise partners.
- Guide franchise candidates through discovery, due diligence, and initial integration.
Franchisee Training & Enablement
- Design and deliver robust onboarding and training programmes covering sales, business development, and operational best practices.
- Provide tailored mentorship and coaching to support early-stage franchisees in establishing strong foundations.
- Conduct ongoing training and refresher sessions to address performance gaps and share best practices.
Business Development & Sales Performance
- Equip franchisees with the tools, resources, and strategies to generate and convert B2B sales leads.
- Actively support franchisees in identifying and closing sales opportunities, building pipelines, and expanding market share.
- Collaborate with marketing and head office to support local business development efforts and lead generation.
- Encourage and support franchisees in generating referrals and new business opportunities.
Franchise Network Management
- Maintain close relationships with franchisees, providing regular touchpoints, performance reviews, and strategic advice.
- Facilitate regional meetings, workshops, and peer learning opportunities.
- Conduct audits and business reviews to ensure alignment with brand standards and identify growth areas.
- Support initiatives to drive franchisee engagement, retention, and satisfaction.
Strategic Growth & Expansion
- Develop and implement a national franchise growth strategy aligned with company goals.
- Identify new market opportunities and support territory development planning.
- Work with the executive team to evaluate and refine franchise models for scale and sustainability.
Operational Oversight & Compliance
- Ensure all franchise operations are aligned with company policies, processes, and brand expectations.
- Monitor adherence to legal, regulatory, and franchise agreement obligations.
- Support the implementation of tools, systems, and processes that improve efficiency and consistency across the network.
Requirements
- B2B sales and business development experience.
- Vast experience in a senior or leadership role with team development responsibility.
- Proven track record of supporting high-performing teams or franchise networks.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret data, set targets, and drive performance.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to build trust and motivate others.
- Willingness to travel nationally to meet with franchisees and attend regional meetings.
- Experience in franchising or a franchise-led business model is highly desirable.
