About The Role We are seeking a qualified Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health conditions. Working closely with our multidisciplinary team, the Psychiatrist will play a key role in helping to identify and improve our patients' mental health issues. Availability Part time, Full Time, Flexible Hours 09:00 am - 05:00 pm Box Hill Mornington Somerville Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including assessing mental health conditions and determining appropriate treatment plans. Prescribe and manage medications, monitoring patients' progress and making adjustments as necessary. Provide psychotherapy and counseling to patients as indicated. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists and social workers, to provide optimal care. Stay informed of the latest developments in psychiatry and mental health treatment, incorporating new research and approaches into patient care. Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with ethical standards and legal requirements. Qualifications Medical degree with Post Graduate Qualification in Psychiatry. Current registration as a Specialist Psychiatrist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Demonstrated experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of mental health conditions. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to providing patient-centered care, with a compassionate and empathetic approach to treatment. Excellent clinical skills, with a strong foundation in evidence-based psychiatric practices.
