Description

Optime Group is recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers to support a major logistics operation at Stansted Airport.

This is not a long-distance driving position.

You'll be making short journeys between the airport consolidation centre and operational locations across Stansted Airport, while also helping to load and unload your vehicle as part of a hands-on job.

Please note that this is a physically demanding position and not solely a driving role.

  • Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off
  • Shift Times: 06:00 to 18:00 ( Please note: Flexibility is essential as shift times may vary to meet operational requirements.)

  • What you'll be doing
  • Driving a Class 2 vehicle safely around Stansted Airport.
  • Transporting goods between the airport consolidation centre and operational locations.
  • Loading and unloading your vehicle.
  • Collecting and delivering stock across the airport.
  • Checking deliveries against manifests and reporting any shortages or damage.
  • Completing daily vehicle checks and transport documentation.
  • Maintaining regular communication with the warehouse management team.
  • Working in accordance with Drivers' Hours, the Working Time Directive, health and safety procedures and road traffic legislation.
  • Complying with Tachograph regulations and CPC requirements.
  • Carrying out any other reasonable duties required to support the operation.

What we're looking for

  • A valid UK Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence.
  • A valid CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
  • A good understanding of spoken and written English.
  • At least one year's professional HGV Class 2 driving experience.
  • Someone who enjoys a hands-on role and is comfortable with physical work alongside driving duties.
  • A reliable and professional approach with pride in delivering a high standard of work.
  • The ability to provide a full 5-year checkable employment and/or education history to obtain an airside pass.
  • A willingness to undergo pre-employment drugs and alcohol testing.
