Aviation Recruitment experts Optime are searching for an experienced Warehouse Operative to join a well-respected and successful client in Gatwick. This job offers fantastic hours and overtime opportunities. This is a very enjoyable role with a great company and fantastic conditions and facilities.
What’s on offer:
- Rate of Pay: £14.20 per hour (plus Holiday and Pension).
- Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday.
- Hours: 07:00am to 17:45pm.
- Staff parking.
- Weekly pay (Every Friday).
- Temp to Perm (performance based).
- Start Date: 9th March 2025.
Key Duties:
- To ensure that all tasks are carried out accurately and in line with current procedure.
- Achieve & Measure contract specific KPI’s.
- To ensure that any task carried out is completed within the boundaries of the current procedures and processes.
- To work within the established standards of accuracy.
- To ensure company Health & Safety policies are complied with.
- To work within the operating areas, determined by the management and needs of the business.
- To ensure accurate and prompt information is passed to the Team Leader or Supervisor when requested.
- To ensure that a high standard of housekeeping is maintained in all areas of the site.
- Adhere to company and site policies, culture and values.
- To undertake and implement any training provided by the company in relation to the development of the role, individual or operation.
- Support Back of House operations - Delivering/receiving retailer goods.
- Any other reasonable duties and tasks as required.
Shifts:
The Airport is operational 7 days per week and candidates will be working on Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday. This could be subject to change!

- Monday: 07:00am to 17:45pm
- Tuesday: 07:00am to 17:45pm
- Wednesday: 07:00am to 17:45pm
- Thursday: 07:00am to 17:45pm
- Friday: OFF
- Saturday: OFF
- Sunday: OFF

Requirements:
- You MUST have lived in the UK for 5 years or longer.
- Warehouse experience is beneficial but not essential.
- Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules.
- Ability to read, understand and follow directions/instructions.
- Ability to count accurately and to perform simple math calculations.
- Have appropriate hand, eye and foot co-ordination to effectively use mechanical handling equipment.
- Ability to move products which may require bending, stretching, stooping, stepping, reaching and/or lifting, in line with Health & Safety regulations.
- Successful candidates will need to partake in a drug and alcohol test during the interview process.
- Due to the location of this warehouse a Driving Licence is preferred.
