Optime Group are looking for Class 2 HGV Drivers to join one of our prestigious clients based at Luton Airport. The role offers a fantastic opportunity to build a career within a leading logistics business at the airport.
What's on Offer:
- Rate of Pay: £15.37 per hour (plus Holiday and Pension)
- Hours: 40 hours per week.
- Shift working timings include: early starts, late finishes, nights, weekdays and weekends. (You must be flexible to work all shifts)
- Staff parking.
- Weekly pay (Every Friday)
- Temp to Perm (performance-based)
Key Duties:
- Working as a member of the Passengers with Reduced Mobility (PRM) Team, you will be responsible for the transfer of PRM or those needing assistance from the aircraft to the terminal building or from the terminal building to the aircraft.
- Completing the Daily Equipment Check Sheet, to maintain the operational reliability of the equipment, reporting where necessary, any equipment defects in line with the Equipment Inspection procedure.
- Deliver or collect the Special Assistance passengers at the aircraft door and assist with the transfer into their seat or wheelchair through safe manual handling techniques. Being professional, polite and courteous at all times.
- Carry out duties as directed by the Allocator. Escorting arriving and departing special assistance passengers (along with accompanying family as necessary) through the airport either on foot, by wheelchair or electric buggy as depicted by their ticket categorisation.
- Providing assistance with the baggage.
- Ensuring that wheelchairs and vehicles are clean and tidy at all times.
- Ensure that Movement Control is updated on progress by use of IT handsets.
- Ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed legibly and submitted in a timely manner.
- Any additional reasonable duties as assigned by operational management.
Requirements:
- You must hold a Full UK Driving License.
- You must hold a valid CPC and Digi Card.
- Great understanding of the English language.
- Drivers who are passionate and take pride in their work.
- Must be able to provide 5-year checkable history, in order for us to obtain your blue airside pass.
- A second interview with our client will be required in order to be successful in the interview process.
Shifts:
- Shift working timings include: early starts, late finishes, nights, weekdays and weekends.
- Shift timings are affected and influenced by the airline schedules and are subject to change.
