Aviation Recruitment experts Optime are searching for experienced Security Officers to join a well-respected and successful client at Heathrow. Please note: Due to enhanced background checks, this role is only suitable if you have continuously resided in the UK for the last 3 years.
What’s on Offer
- £13.55 per hour
- Shift timing: 06:30am to 18:00pm
- Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off
- Up to 40 hours per week plus overtime.
- Weekly Pay (every Friday).
- Temp to Perm (performance-based)
Key duties
- To provide a visible security contact for colleagues, contractors, and visitors.
- Booking in and out of all vehicles entering and leaving the site.
- Utilising CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss.
- To deter theft, whether internal and/or external and other poor working practices.
- To respond to any on-site incident or request for assistance and maintain control until arrival of the Client, Emergency Services or Duty Manager.
- To highlight all breaches of security procedures including internal and external crime.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers with their queries, offering guidance, and creating a welcoming and stress-free environment.
Requirements
- Must have a driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
- Must hold a valid SIA Licence.
- A positive, customer-centric attitude with a genuine desire to create a pleasant experience for all airport visitors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm and aid in stressful situations.
- Experience in a security or customer service role, preferably in an airport or similar environment.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail to effectively identify potential security risks.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and adhere to strict security protocols.
- Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and perform routine security tasks.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends.
- Must be over 18.
- Must have continuously resided in the UK for the last 3 consecutive years.
