Aviation recruitment experts Optime Group are excited to be recruiting for an Airport Trainer to join a major aircraft services operation at Bristol Airport. This is a senior operational training role with the ability to directly impact business performance, supporting employees at Operational and Supervisory level through high-quality learning, development, and compliance-led training delivery within a regulated aviation environment.

Key Duties:
- Maintain accurate learning & development training records and Skills Matrices
- Design, implement, and complete aviation training programmes, including PRM presentations
- Ensure all policies, processes, and manuals are embedded within operational training materials
- Deliver operational training, including on-the-job training and mentoring
- Provide structured feedback and additional coaching to address performance gaps
- Create, amend, and deliver aviation training courses, including lesson plans, exercises, and all associated documentation in line with CAA / DfT regulations
- Support the development and implementation of digital learning innovation
- Identify best practice and learning synergies across customers and business units
Operational & Stakeholder Support:
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance training delivery and syllabus upgrades
- Support training delivery during contract mobilisation, aligned to agreed mobilisation plans
- Ensure effective communication within operations, including regular meetings to share training plans and compliance data
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients, customers, and internal teams
- Promote a culture of service excellence and maintain a professional image at all times
People Management & Compliance:
- Coach, mentor, and support teams to meet service level agreements
- Support performance management and staff discipline in line with company and regulatory requirements
- Ensure all paperwork and documentation is managed in line with GDPR
- Champion safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across the operation
Requirements:
- Strong working knowledge of Learning & Development within Aviation
- Sound understanding of safety, operational, and compliance protocols
- Experience managing the full training cycle
- Knowledge of learning management systems and L&D reporting
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Confident, collaborative, and able to engage at all levels
- Business-focused with a strong delivery mindset
- Strong IT literacy and ability to quickly adopt new systems
- Full UK manual driving licence is essential
- Must be over 18 and have the Right to Work in the UK
