Aviation Experts Optime Group are excited to be recruiting Aircraft Marshals for a prestigious client at Heathrow Airport, who run the leading Aircraft Cleaning operation. PLEASE NOTE: Due to additional security checks required for this role, successful applicants MUST have lived in the UK for the last 3 years.
Start Date: 23rd March 2026
What’s on offer:
- Rate of Pay: £14.01 per hour (plus Holiday and Pension)
- Working Hours: 9-hour shifts between 06:00am - 23:00pm (You must be flexible with the hours you work)
- Shifts available: AM and PM shifts
- Shift Pattern: 5 ON / 3 OFF
- Full training provided
- Weekly Pay (every Friday)
- Temp to Perm - Performance-based
What you’ll be doing:
- Guiding Steps onto the Aircraft to enable the team to access the rear of the plane
- Supporting the driver fully by guiding heavy machinery (Steps for Plane)
- Using hand signals to dictate direction required to successfully guide steps
- Supporting the cleaning of various sizes of aircraft
- Ensuring that you comply with all security processes at Heathrow Airport
- Checking all vehicles are safe to operate
- Working in a safe and tidy manner
Shifts: The Airport is operational 7 days per week and candidates will be working on a 5 on 3 off and you will need to be fully flexible with the days and hours you can work. This could be subject to change!
Example shift hours: An example of the shift hours for 40 hours per week (5 on 3 off pattern):
- Day 1: 06:00am to 15:00
- Day 2: 06:30am to 15:30
- Day 3: 14:00 to 23:00
- Day 4: 14:00 to 23:00
- OFF OFF OFF OFF
The ideal candidate:
- Has lived in the UK continuously for the past 3 years or more, as all successful applicants will be required to undergo a Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)
- Valid Passport or Driving Licence / Birth Certificate or National ID card
- This role requires you to stand for long periods of time (9 hours)
- Must be able to work both AM and PM shifts
- Ability to work in a team
- Ability to work quickly and to meet tight deadlines
- Great work ethic
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be over 18
- Previous airport and/or cleaning experience would be beneficial
Please note: As this is an airport role, successful candidates must pass security checks in-line with CAA regulations. These checks include 5-year work and address history, DBS (must have no disqualifying criminal convictions), valid Right to Work.
