Highly motivated water engineer with clean water experience. Support existing and new clients in the use of Optimizer™ and Asset Advanced™ software suites to help optimise planning decisions within water infrastructure networks. Deliver modelling, optimisation and asset management analyses for and with our clients. Work closely with clients and train in the use of our solutions. Contribute to software development and improvement. Understanding of and experience working with water utility clean water networks.
Distribution/transmission system modelling experience (e.g., EPANET, WaterGEMS, InfoWorks WS Pro). Proficient in GIS software (ESRI ArcGIS and/or QGIS). Ability to operate and transform large data sets (Power Query, Access, SQL, Python, Power BI, etc.). Excellent communication, time/task management and presentation skills. Openness to new technologies, ability to learn and solve complex numerical problems. Engaging and proactive both internally and with the client. Passion for data, automation and optimisation. Able to work and learn remotely, set and manage their goals independently, deliver on promises. Ability to manage customer experience and relationships. Business skills in preparing and presenting business cases, communicating value to customers, and dealing with business process change (desired).
Responsibilities
- Support and guide utility and consultant engineers’ and planners’ applications of the Optimizer™ software
- Deliver and guide user trainings and ongoing education
- Explore opportunities for new applications with users
- Provide strategic direction and insights for customers’ planning efforts
- Assist with hydraulic model and input data review & preparation
- Manage support and delivery projects
- Use customer feedback to inform the roadmap for software development
- Provide technical business development support and assist with the development of marketing strategies and materials
- Test new functionality and identify upgrades to Optimizer™ and Asset Advanced™
- Assist with software and project documentation
- Attend and contribute to industry conferences and professional organisations
- Travel to current and potential customers (as appropriate)
Education
BSc/BEng or higher in Civil/Environmental Engineering. >3 years of professional experience in the water sector.
