Part-time Support Worker / Personal Assistant - Bellingham SE6

£13.88 per hour | Permanent, part-time | 18 hours per week

Monday to Saturday, three hours each day. Preferred hours: 11am-2pm.

Build a consistent working relationship with one adult in their own home. OptiMatch Solutions is looking for an experienced Support Worker / Personal Assistant who brings patience, practical care skills and reliable support to everyday life.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

This role is based in Bellingham SE6, in the London Borough of Lewisham. You will support the same person regularly, getting to know their routines, preferences and goals while respecting their dignity and independence.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WORK

• Provide respectful personal care in line with the individual's agreed care plan.
• Help with meals, daily routines and agreed light household tasks.
• Encourage the person to do what they can for themselves, offering support without rushing or taking over.
• Offer companionship, listen carefully and communicate clearly.
• Follow individual guidance, work within your training, keep accurate records and report concerns promptly.

You will need relevant hands-on adult care experience, a patient approach and dependable timekeeping. You should be confident following a care plan and knowing when to seek help.

The role involves six short shifts each week, rather than two or three longer days. Please consider whether the journey to Bellingham and the Monday-to-Saturday pattern work for you.

The preferred hours are 11am-2pm. Any alternative timing must be agreed before appointment; flexible hours are not guaranteed.
