Thread Roll Setter
Optimas is a major global partner for industry-leading original equipment manufacturers and their suppliers. Barton Cold-Form operates under the Optimas brand, as a manufacturer and distributor of highly engineered fasteners and special cold forgings for the automotive and industrial industries.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Thread Roll Setter who has experience of setting, adjusting and operating roll-forming machines.
Key responsibilities:
- Advance arranging appropriate tool sets and material according to works order and details for next job on roll-former
- Preparation and submission of suitable first off samples for QAD approval
- All Quality and Self certification procedures in accordance with QC Brief
- Proper use, maintenance and housekeeping of hand tools, gauges and machines
- Reporting of any defects or suspected defects in tools, hand tools, gauges, machines or wire to the controlling department
- Maintain maximum possible output observing production speeds appropriate for each job
- Weighing off and related record upkeep
- Keeping of accurate routing records (Quality, Quantity and Materials)
- Other duties and tasks as required
Skills preferred:
- Proven experience of setting and operating Rollforming machines of various types
- Understanding of fault detection
- Good communication skills
- Ability to read Engineering drawings
