Optimas is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Onsite Envoy to work at our customer location – McLaren in Woking. As an Optimas envoy you are managing a team who collectively and individually are directly responsible for the ‘day to day’ management of the onsite JIT systems for our clients. This is a customer‑facing role, representing Optimas and maintaining professional image at the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Support the client with the aid of the onsite team, including:
- Maintaining presence in production meetings, investigating & supplying relevant information to the client at multiple levels.
- Managing the onsite team and their day‑to‑day routines.
- Ordering and replenishment of parts through the client’s businesses.
- Maintaining standards of the JIT racks for all areas.
- Managing two additional clients’ onsite teams.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Attend the client’s production meetings as required, possibly on a daily basis.
- Investigate and supply information to the client and Optimas teams, covering part queries, line counts, engineering investigations and reports.
- Ensure all racks and cabinets are kept in the agreed location and do not obstruct throughways to avoid health and safety hazards.
- Introduce and maintain JIT parts in each area of the client’s business, adding and removing as production models change.
- Communicate any new Optimas JIT parts needed for production or as samples.
- Manage paperwork sent back to the warehouse and ensure prompt return of parts under return authorization.
- Manage the onsite team’s routines, shift patterns, absences and holidays.
On‑site Team Routines
- Morning shifts: daily production line replenishment and scanning (multiple areas).
- Morning shifts: daily delivery replenishment to the main rack and select production areas.
- Morning shifts: maintain additional client sites once a week.
- Evening shifts: daily production line replenishment.
- Keep racks and bins clearly and neatly labelled with correct bar‑code labels; print on site if required.
- Maintain cleanliness around racks, remove stock from non‑designated containers and sweep spills.
- Assist with a broad range of enquiries, from finding parts to investigating point‑of‑fit issues.

Working Hours
The hours required primarily cover the morning production shift: 05:30 – 14:30, Monday – Friday. You may also be required to work odd Saturdays or cover evening shifts when the business requires it.
Dress Code
Wear work wear suited to the working environment while carrying out your role. Follow the client’s dress code: black shirt or polo shirt, black trousers, safety shoes. A high‑vis jacket will be provided for designated areas.
