Position Overview
Optimas is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Onsite Envoy to work at our customer location – JCB in Rocester, Staffordshire. As an Optimas envoy you are responsible for managing a team that is directly involved in the day‑to‑day management of the onsite JIT systems for our clients. This is a customer‑facing role that requires you to represent Optimas professionally at all times.
Responsibilities
- Support the client with the aid of the on‑site team, including maintaining presence in production meetings and providing relevant information to the client at multiple levels.
- Manage the on‑site team and their day‑to‑day routines.
- Order and replenish parts through the client’s businesses.
- Maintain the standards of the JIT racks for all areas.
- Coordinate with the on‑site team that also supports two additional clients.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Attend production meetings if required, possibly on a daily basis.
- Investigate and supply information to the client and Optimas teams, covering a broad range from part queries to engineering investigations and reports.
- Ensure all racks and cabinets remain in agreed locations, preventing obstruction and ensuring health and safety.
- Introduce and maintain JIT parts required in each area of the client’s business, adding and removing parts as production models change.
- Communicate any new Optimas JIT parts required for production or as samples.
- Manage paperwork and return of parts to the warehouse under return authorisations.
- Oversee the successful and prompt return of any parts sent back to the warehouse.
- Oversee the on‑site team’s daily shift patterns, absences and holidays.
- Maintain clearly labelled racks and use correct bar code labels; print labels on site as required.
- Keep racks and surrounding areas clean and tidy, removing stock not in designated containers and sweeping up spillages.
- Provide assistance with a broad range of enquiries, from finding parts to investigating part fit issues.

Working Hours & Conditions
The hours required primarily cover the morning production shift 07:30–16:30, Monday to Friday. In addition, you may be required to work odd Saturdays and cover evening shifts if business requires. You must wear workwear suited to the working environment while carrying out your role. The client’s dress code is black shirt/polo shirt and black trousers with safety shoes. A high‑vis jacket will be provided for designated areas of the client’s site.
