Overview
Optimas is looking for a highly driven Senior Sourcing Manager – UK to join our team. This is a fantastic career opportunity to make a significant contribution to a global organisation while working in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement global sourcing and supplier strategies, and identify and execute cost savings programs
- Lead a team of Sourcing Specialists, driving cost savings initiatives and short, mid or long-term sourcing solutions
- Provide market intelligence on commodities, currency trends, and manufacturing practices
- Negotiate complex global contracts and build senior-level supplier relationships
- Deliver impactful strategic sourcing reports and influence key decisions at senior leadership level
- Work collaboratively across functions (Commercial, Bid, and Strategic teams) to support growth and maximise value
- Implement supplier rationalisation strategies and margin improvement programs
- Travel internationally to strengthen supplier partnerships and sourcing strategies
What we\’re looking for
- A degree (or equivalent proven experience) in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, or Supply Chain
- Strong background in procurement, sourcing, and supplier management — ideally with experience in the fastener industry or similar
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide teams
- Exceptional negotiation skills and business acumen
- Analytical mindset, capable of turning complex data into actionable strategies
- Excellent communication and influencing skills — confident in presenting at senior level
- High levels of drive, resilience, and results orientation
- Multilingual skills (advantageous but not essential)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Business Intelligence tools is a plus
