Position overview:

Optimas is looking for a friendly, patient, and empathetic Inside Sales Account Controller to provide best-in-class service to our customers in a multi-location global distribution environment. Collaboration with sales, supply chain, and operations support teams is critical to achieving objectives. Growth and new business should be a priority, working with relevant teams to achieve wins.

  • Maintain strong customer relationships;
  • Meet or exceed service expectations and initiatives;
  • Partner with supply chain to address urgent customer needs;
  • Adhere to customer service KPIs and Optimas\’ THREAD values;
  • Deliver the total value proposition to customers at all levels;
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and profitable sales;
  • Develop and maintain cross-functional teamwork and communication;
  • Manage and update Open Order Book.

Key responsibilities:

  • Communicate continuously with customers via phone and email regarding orders, tracking, discrepancies, and quality issues;
  • Drive new growth opportunities with current and new customers;
  • Qualify inquiries and collaborate to win new business;
  • Make outbound calls to explore new opportunities;
  • Negotiate E&O sales when necessary;
  • Work with business development on new customer inquiries;
  • Handle system transactions, order processing, tracking, returns, and data integrity;
  • Generate sales leads and manage customer order books;
  • Support the Sales Organization as needed;
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain and other departments;
  • Prepare proposals and recommend products based on customer needs;
  • Meet or exceed KPI targets;
  • Ensure POD updates are current and close open debit notes;
  • Make daily critical decisions and perform root cause analysis;
  • Collaborate with Operations, Technical Service, and Demand Planning;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
