Technical Architect – (Fully Remote) | Financial Services

Rate: Outside IR35 £300 p/d

We have partnered exclusively with one of our key clients to find a Technical Architect who will play a critical role in shaping future technology strategies, optimising platforms, and leading integrations across a dynamic IT landscape.

This role is ideal for someone with deep expertise in distributed systems and technical architecture , capable of shaping future technology strategies while solving complex challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement a scalable, future-proof technical infrastructure
• Identify and resolve technical debt, ensuring system efficiency and longevity
• Lead integrations between critical business systems to enhance connectivity
• Provide technical guidance on high-impact technology initiatives
• Maintain and manage system architectural blueprints aligned with business objectives
• Collaborate with senior architects and IT leaders to refine strategic solutions

Requirements:

• Proven experience in enterprise architecture, system design, and cloud technologies
• Continuously evaluate the existing technical infrastructure and system architecture , identifying critical inefficiencies and outdated elements. Provide strategic recommendations for improvements to the Senior IT/Solution Architect , ensuring optimal performance and long-term scalability.
• Strong background in APIs, middleware, databases, and infrastructure solutions
• Expertise in SQL, React, Java, Python, and cloud-based tech like AWS
• Hands-on experience in technical troubleshooting, optimisation, and development
• Strong understanding of DevOps, system lifecycle methodologies, and scalable solutions
• Experience working in one of the Big Four consulting firms (EY, PwC, Deloitte, or KPMG) is preferred
• Excellent communication skills, capable of working across multidisciplinary teams
• Deep expertise in technology ecosystems, spanning software, hardware, and enterprise architecture frameworks. Skilled in leveraging emerging and established tech trends – Including IoT, ETL processes, cloud platforms (AWS), ERP solutions, and Headless Commerce – to drive scalable, high-performance systems.
