Optimal Vision is a leading provider of advanced eye care, specialising in Laser Vision Correction (LVC) and Intraocular Lens (IOL) surgery. As our clinic continues to expand, we are looking for a motivated Healthcare Assistant to join our clinical and surgical teams.

Role Overview
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will support both our LVC and IOL surgical services. Full training will be provided to ensure you develop the clinical, technical, and patient-care skills needed for the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform pre-operative diagnostic tests and assist patients through the consent process.
- Deliver clear pre- and post-operative instructions, update patient records, and arrange follow-up appointments.
- Assist clinicians during consultations and procedures, including instilling eye drops, preparing equipment, taking notes, and supporting scrub duties for LVC.
- Support the IOL theatre team with patient preparation, instrument handling, and decontamination.
- Prepare, calibrate, and safely operate laser systems used for vision correction.
- Coordinate patient flow to ensure a smooth, efficient experience throughout treatment days.
- Complete administrative tasks such as stock management, filing, and end-of-day reporting.
- Participate in safety checks, incident reporting, and quality improvement activities.
About You

Ophthalmic experience or background is preferred, but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Pay: £26,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
