Location: Leicestershire

Shift: 7am to 5pm Mon to Thu / 7am to 2pm on Fri

Pay Rate: £15.00 - £16.00 per hour DOE

About the Company: Our client is a well-established engineering and manufacturing business specialising in the production of high-quality metal components for a range of industries. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Press Brake / Laser Operator to join their production team.

The Role: As a Press Brake / Laser Operator, you will be responsible for operating and setting CNC laser cutting machinery and press brake equipment to produce components to customer specifications. You will work from engineering drawings, ensuring all products meet quality standards and production targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating CNC laser cutting machinery and press brake equipment
  • Setting and adjusting machines to meet production requirements
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and job specifications
  • Measuring and inspecting components to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met
  • Loading and unloading materials safely and efficiently
  • Performing routine machine maintenance and reporting any faults
  • Working to production schedules and meeting deadlines
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
  • Following all health and safety procedures

About You:

  • Previous experience operating press brake and/or laser cutting machinery
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience using measuring equipment such as verniers, tape measures and gauges
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes and workshop practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience programming CNC laser or press brake machinery
  • Counterbalance FLT licence
  • Experience working with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium
  • Previous fabrication or sheet metal experience
