The predicted salary is between 28 - 30 £ per hour.

Location: Leicester

Salary: £14.00 - £15.00 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm (Occasional requirement to work late)

About the Company

Our client is a leading manufacturer of bespoke signage solutions, producing everything from illuminated signs and 3D lettering to vehicle graphics and custom branding displays. They provide a complete service from design through to manufacture, delivering high-quality signage solutions to a diverse range of commercial clients. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Powder Coater to join their skilled production team in Leicester.

The Role

As a Powder Coater, you will be responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing a wide range of metal components used in bespoke signage projects. You will play a key role in ensuring products are finished to the highest standards, delivering durable and visually appealing coatings that meet customer specifications. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced powder coating professional who takes pride in producing high-quality finished products and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare metal components for powder coating through cleaning, masking, sanding, and pre-treatment processes
  • Apply powder coatings to a variety of metal products using manual and automated spraying equipment
  • Operate curing ovens and monitor coating processes to ensure quality standards are achieved
  • Inspect finished products for coating quality, colour consistency, and surface finish
  • Identify and rectify coating defects where necessary
  • Work from job sheets, specifications, and production schedules
  • Handle and move components safely throughout the finishing process
  • Assist with packing and preparing finished products for dispatch
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
  • Follow company health and safety procedures at all times

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience as a Powder Coater or Paint Sprayer within a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of powder coating preparation and application techniques
  • Experience operating powder coating equipment and curing ovens
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finishes
  • Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality standards
  • Good organisational skills and a proactive attitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong awareness of health and safety practices

Desirable

  • Experience within the signage, architectural metalwork, fabrication, or sheet metal industries
  • Knowledge of colour matching and coating specifications
  • Experience working with aluminium, stainless steel, and mild steel products
