The Role

As a CNC Grinder Operator, you will be responsible for operating CNC grinding machinery to produce high-quality, precision components for the aerospace sector.

Experience with Makino CNC grinding machines is preferred , however full training will be provided for the right candidate.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Grinder who wants to develop their skills, learn new machinery and progress within a growing aerospace business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating CNC grinding machinery to produce precision aerospace components.
  • Setting and operating machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Loading and unloading components.
  • Following engineering drawings, CNC programmes and work instructions.
  • Setting tooling, workholding and machine parameters where required.
  • Monitoring grinding processes and making adjustments as necessary.
  • Carrying out dimensional and visual inspection.
  • Using precision measuring equipment to ensure components meet specification.
  • Identifying and reporting quality or machining issues.
  • Working to tight tolerances and aerospace quality standards.
  • Maintaining accurate production and quality records.
  • Working efficiently to meet production requirements without compromising quality.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.

About You

We are looking for an experienced

CNC Grinder Operator with a strong understanding of precision machining and a quality-focused approach.

You will ideally have

  • Previous experience operating CNC grinding machinery.

Makino experience would be highly advantageous.

  • Experience with other CNC grinding machines will be considered.
  • The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience working to tight tolerances.

  • A good understanding of grinding processes.
