An experienced Fabricator / Plater is required to join a leading structural steel manufacturer based in Nottinghamshire. Working as part of a skilled fabrication team, you will be involved in the manufacture of large-scale steelwork for major infrastructure projects across the UK, including bridges, gantries, transport structures, and other heavy engineering applications.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business with a strong reputation for delivering complex structural steel solutions to the road, rail, and transport sectors.
- Manufacturing bridge sections, gantries, and associated structural steelwork
- Carrying out dimensional and quality checks throughout the fabrication process
- Working safely and efficiently to production schedules
- Assisting in other areas of the workshop when required
- Be apprentice trained or time-served as a Plater / Fabricator
- Be able to read and interpret engineering drawings with minimal supervision
- Possess a strong work ethic and a commitment to quality
- Overhead crane experience
- Structural welding/Fabricating
- Positional welding
- Spot welding
