The Role
We are currently recruiting for experienced CNC Turner to join a busy engineering team in Nottingham. The role involves producing high-quality precision engineered components while working to technical drawings and specifications within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Setting and operating CNC turning machinery
- Operating manual turning machinery where applicable
- Producing components to engineering drawings and specifications
- Editing and adjusting programmes to improve machining efficiency and accuracy
- Carrying out routine machine maintenance and inspections
- Loading materials and managing tooling requirements safely
- Conducting quality inspections using measuring equipment and hand tools
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
About You
- Proven experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Experience as a CNC Turner or Manual Turner
- Experience using Prototrak, Siemens, Fanuc or Winmax controls
- Strong understanding of tooling, fixtures and machining processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately
- Competent using measuring equipment and hand tools
- Good understanding of materials and tooling selection
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
