The Role
We are recruiting for an experienced Fabrication Supervisor to lead a fabrication team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on position suited to someone with a strong fabrication background who can support production, improve processes, and bring fresh ideas to the shop floor.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading and supporting welders and fabricators on the shop floor
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Planning jobs, labour and materials efficiently
- Estimating build times and supporting production scheduling
- Setting, monitoring and reviewing KPIs
- Conducting regular 1-1 meetings with team members
- Identifying and implementing new methods and ideas to improve production processes
- Supporting quality standards and production targets
- Maintaining health and safety standards across the department
About You
- Previous fabrication experience or a strong fabrication background
- Experience working as a Supervisor, Team Leader or Senior Fabricator
- Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Experience carrying out time studies or estimating
- Strong knowledge of welding processes and fabrication materials
- Able to motivate teams and improve shop floor performance
- Proactive approach with the ability to introduce process improvements
