An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced CNC Miller Programmer to join a growing precision engineering business based in Nottingham. Working within a modern machine shop, you'll be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines, producing high-quality precision components for a range of industries.
- Programming CNC milling machines using CAD/CAM software and machine controls.
- Creating, editing and optimising programmes to improve machining efficiency.
- Setting and operating CNC milling machines.
- Manufacturing one-off and batch components from engineering drawings.
- Producing first-off components and completing first-off inspections.
- Reporting any quality issues or non-conformances.
- Supporting continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Maintaining programme documentation and machine records.
- Carrying out routine machine maintenance and maintaining a clean, organised work area.
Previous experience as a CNC Miller within a precision engineering environment is required, along with:
- Experience programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines.
- Strong inspection skills using a range of measuring equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- CAD/CAM programming experience.
- Experience with Hurco, Haas, Mazak or Fanuc control systems.
- Experience working with Haas and Matsuura machining centres.
£19.00 per hour. Permanent, full-time position. Monday to Friday working pattern. Modern, well-equipped manufacturing environment. Ongoing training and development opportunities. Company pension. On-site parking.
