Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Quality Engineer with a strong focus on quality documentation and aerospace compliance.
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys the documentation and systems side of quality rather than hands-on inspection. You will take ownership of quality documentation, ensuring customer and aerospace requirements are met accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and review First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) to AS9102 standards.
- Prepare and manage PPAP documentation and customer quality submissions.
- Complete manufacturing feasibility studies for new and existing projects.
- Maintain and control quality documentation, procedures and records.
- Support customer audits and quality compliance activities.
- Liaise with engineering, production and customers to ensure quality requirements are achieved.
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 and customer-specific aerospace standards.
- Drive continuous improvement within quality systems and documentation processes.
About You
- Previous experience in a Senior Quality Engineer or similar quality role within precision engineering or aerospace manufacturing.
- Strong experience producing aerospace FAIRs (AS9102) is essential.
- Excellent knowledge of PPAPs, quality documentation and customer submission packs.
- Experience completing manufacturing feasibility studies.
- Good understanding of AS9100 quality management systems.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
- Confident communicator, able to work effectively with customers and internal departments.
