We are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to provide installation, commissioning, maintenance and technical support for injection moulding machinery, automation systems and associated equipment across customer sites throughout the UK and Ireland. This is a customer-facing role requiring a proactive engineer with strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills, a solid understanding of plastic injection moulding processes, and the ability to deliver exceptional aftersales support. Extensive product training will be provided where required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, commission and start up injection moulding machines, automation systems and associated equipment.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance, servicing, repairs, calibrations and machine modifications.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and control system faults.
  • Support customers with technical troubleshooting both on-site and remotely.
  • Relocate machinery and assist with equipment upgrades and turnkey automation projects.
  • Provide operator and maintenance training where required.
  • Complete service reports and documentation accurately in accordance with company procedures and ISO quality standards.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with Health & Safety legislation.
  • Build strong working relationships with customers, providing a professional and responsive aftersales service.
  • Attend product training and technical courses both within the UK and overseas when required.

About You

  • A recognised engineering apprenticeship or engineering qualification.
  • An electrical qualification (essential).
  • Previous experience servicing or maintaining injection moulding machinery.
  • Strong electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fault-finding skills.
  • Knowledge of plastic injection moulding processes and manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with robotics, automation or turnkey systems is advantageous.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and service reporting systems.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • A methodical approach to problem solving with strong attention to detail.
  • The flexibility to travel extensively throughout the UK and Ireland, with occasional overseas training.
  • A full UK driving licence.
