The Role

We are currently recruiting for experienced CNC Turner to join a busy engineering team in Nottingham. We are interested in candidates with experience as:

  • CNC Turner
  • Manual Turner
  • CNC Turner Programmer

The role involves producing high-quality precision engineered components while working to technical drawings and specifications within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Setting and operating CNC turning machinery
  • Operating manual turning machinery where applicable
  • Producing components to engineering drawings and specifications
  • Editing and adjusting programmes to improve machining efficiency and accuracy
  • Carrying out routine machine maintenance and inspections
  • Loading materials and managing tooling requirements safely
  • Conducting quality inspections using measuring equipment and hand tools
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

About You

  • Proven experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Experience as a CNC Turner or Manual Turner
  • Experience using Prototrak, Siemens, Fanuc or Winmax controls
  • Strong understanding of tooling, fixtures and machining processes
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately
  • Competent using measuring equipment and hand tools
  • Good understanding of materials and tooling selection
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
