About the Role
Our client is looking for a reliable and hardworking Van Driver to provide temporary sickness cover within their busy operation. This role is initially expected to last a minimum of one week, however there is the potential for the assignment to be extended. You will be responsible for driving a company Sprinter Van, completing deliveries throughout the Leicestershire area and ensuring goods are delivered safely and on time. This is a physically demanding role and will involve heavy lifting and manual handling as part of the delivery process.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving a company Sprinter Van to complete deliveries across Leicestershire.
- Loading and unloading goods safely and securely.
- Carrying out heavy lifting and manual handling duties.
- Ensuring deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Completing delivery paperwork where required.
- Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects.
- Providing excellent customer service when delivering goods.
- Following all road traffic regulations and company procedures.
About You
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Previous van driving or multi-drop delivery experience preferred.
- Comfortable driving a long-wheelbase Sprinter Van.
- Physically fit and capable of carrying out heavy lifting and manual handling duties.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Good knowledge of the Leicestershire area.
- Able to work independently.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
